And here begins my review.
Single Player:
The campaign is like a Michael Bay film Ecstasy (at least I imagine it like this before). It exploded everywhere and a highlight hunt the next. And just on the higher difficulty levels you will really required because the AI part (unrealistic) targets well. But at least there is something like an artificial intelligence (see not: Battlefield 3). After about 5 to 6 hours to the campaign has then also to 'Veteran' and by going online or with a par friends in the ...
Multiplayer:
Which is divided into Spec Ops and the 'normal' versus multiplayer. The Spec Ops mode is the fusion of Spec Ops from MW2 and Black Ops Zombie Mode. Only without zombies. It's bursting with fun to hunt with a friend via split-screen through the various challenges in the hunt for the best time and the high score. And since now Survival is good form, it is definitely worth checking out this mode times.
Let's talk about 'Versus' MP. The multiplayer is exactly what I expected. Quick and (initially) simple. The longer you play, the deeper one delves into the matter and recognizes all the intricacies that MW3 offers - a successful update to Part 2. The modes knows you, loves you some (TDM) some you hate (CTF). Something for everyone is. The new mode 'Kill Confirmed' also offers shallow tactic possibilities, provided you have enough friends. With a games In summary, the MP of Modern Warfare 3 is bock strong and (in my opinion) better because more action than in Battlefield. You have not even 10 kilometers of running / driving / flying until you have a kill. The only drawback is the lack of bots for the multiplayer.
Conclusion:
+ Strong, action-packed campaign
+ One highlight after another
+ Multiplayer has found its old strength
+ Sensible Spec Ops extensions (Survival)
Graphic is not really better than in MW2
-On Veteran difficulty partly frustrating accurate AI shooters
-No Bots in MP
Edit from 7.12.2011
As I have spent about 55 hours in the multiplayer, I can say at this point a little more.
The multiplayer is still still high and the game mechanics are also an upgrade compared to MW2. However, there are a couple of negative sides. First, the maps .... the maps are suboptimal. There is no large map. All maps are medium to small. Sure, that means fast action, we typically Modern Warfare. But there is no single "quiet" spot on the map. Second, you can meet on verhäuft Booster (people certain, unsportsmanlike mechanisms to exploit aufzulevelen faster). The one here is almost powerless, the online experience weakens slightly. Well, boosters are not in any server on the go. Finally, many of the weapons "overused", ie they are simply 80% of the players used (often justified). But, a patch comes, will weaken somewhat the FMG9 and Typ95.
All in all, Modern Warfare 3 but still the reference shooter for me and at the 5-star rating changes nothing.
