We bought the device because of the low (indicated by the manufacturer) energy consumption. However, we thought at first that the device is defective because it down to minus 23 degrees Celsius cools down with the "Green Intelligence" if times the lid is opened. This can then before last 3 hours until this temperature is reached. Then the function turns off and the unit will no longer until the set temperature of minus 18 degrees Celsius is reached. The Bauknecht customer service then has confirmed that the device is in order. However, when asked whether the specified power consumption not increasing, replied evasively: "The power consumption is dependent on the user behavior". It remains for us so probably nothing else than a meter KWh a year to turn in order to measure the true power consumption and then compare with the value specified by the manufacturer. Since it was not explained to us convincingly that a cooling down with "Green Intelligence" above the target value of minus 18 degrees Celsius also is more efficient to cool than to the reference speed, we give once only 3 stars for the device. In one year we went smarter.
