For too lazy to read shortly in advance: This adapter only provides a signal amplification and uses two antennas NOT SEPARATELY!
As already described in another review, both antenna terminals are easily soldered together. The shows alone the errors of a mark which port to which jack the vehicle comes (z. B. "TO WHITE") This is the worst thing you can do with the diversity antennas! It comes dadruch likely to signal loss than to improvement. Thanks to the mittlerweilen good receiver that falls often not so on. Every now and then it roars times momentarily or the sound is a little quieter. Moreover reinforced this adapter, the received signals something. He corrected so a bit his faulty construction.
True antenna diversity you get only with the original radio, since the switching of the antennas must be made internally.
But there are adapters that the diversity still as much as possible to make benefits (of Hama adapter is not one of them). Simplest feature is the marking, which is one connection to what color. If no identification available, one can assume that both antennas are simply merged.
These adapters have good frequency filter incorporated, bring the white connector from only a part of the VHF band and the beige connection to another part of the VHF band plus MW / LW. This leads not to signal cancellation since each antenna has its own meaningful "task". Diversity has not still thus. But at least the best solution that you can get with the configuration.
