Finally after 10 minutes of struggle consisting of twisting the stator to release the rotor and therefore the string and close the stator having greased the two pivots, try again. This time we take good care to wrap the string pivot far enough so that it is not swallowed by the pivot. Here the string completely (and correctly) wound, the gyro is held upright on the table, everyone holds their breath. Vigorously pulling the string and the gyroscope works great! Much we try to unbalance it returns to its original position and continues to run for about a minute.
Note that both ends of the stator are different, One of the two is marked by a notch which allows use of the gyroscope on a taut wire (do not try the no side split pole, it does not work !)
