Uptown Special [Vinyl] (Vinyl)

Customer Review

I am referring only to the limited Yellow Vinyl variant and the associated CD insert.
At Amazon, there are the bargain the AutoRip Download.
For vinyl lovers certainly interesting, so I'm interested in at least always, the equipment used. To allow comparisons and conclusions.
I am using a 'Technics SL-1900' turntable with a 'Ortofon 2M red' MM cartridges (no DJ stuff).
Be amplifies the signals over a dual-mono integrated amplifier 'SU-V900' with built MM / MC equalizer, which in turn two 'SB-EX7' transducer in the bi-wire drives.

The cover case is quite simple, quite thin cardboard, but printed in high quality.
The Inner Sleeve is also printed with a artwork and consists of a haptic beautiful glossy paper.
There is also a double-sided insert with lyrics and credits.

The plate itself is made of translucent yellow-colored, fairly thin 135 grams vinyl.

The sound of the record, classify, despite their low weight, as well.
However, the quality press has a few weaknesses, my copy has a slight radial runout, which is probably due to the economical use of vinyl, but in no way affects the sound. The groove is centered clean, Obviously, I could see no deflection fluctuations.
All tracks are consistently powerful and much more dynamic in the direct comparison to the MP3 version.
The CD I could not test.

My personal conclusion to Ltd. Yellow vinyl version: Absolute buy recommendation! :-)
