A few days ago I accidentally discovered that there is now a vinyl reissue, as I really wanted something from BB King. Since I already knew and loved the album and now just like a glass of wine a record, DJ, rather than take a "profane" DVD, I ordered.
And that was a good decision. The cover is extremely high, both tactile and in terms of (printing) quality. The two absolutely scratch-free 180 g vinyl (which even just over 190g weigh) are kept in wonderful inner sleeves, which are lined with anti-static film. The only downside which unfortunately often strikes me at the time with newer discs: both disks have unfortunately a slight runout. Sonically does this though to my ears but it is not for the needle in the long run certainly not as "healthy", Berg - and to drive the valley ...
But back to the sound. First, I again heard the DVDA and then launched the first vinyl. Wow! What a dynamic and what kind of trouble-free listening pleasure. Sounds naturally somewhat "hotter" than the digital recording and is great fun. It's just something special, if you take the disc out of the cover, it hangs gently and sits in the chair after the tone arm was lowered. Clear recommendation for fans of this disc like celebrating vinyl.
