Seven years after the debut Qui sème le vent le tempo récolte 1998 appears the plate MC Solaar, s / t.
Again sounds French Hip Hop written by Claude MC funky, groovy and très smooth. The artist delights us with a stylish mix of hip-hop beats, jazz, funk and soul. The melodies and rhythms flow pleasantly harmonious and varied. Nothing comes with a crowbar.
Again the youth language stories are told and characterizes metropolitan daily aptly in an intelligent jargon.
The opening includes a plurality of political allusions, guests staying at an Ennio Morricone-sample from Once upon a time in the West.
To me, this spotlight-like list of names and places in front of such sensational news presented in clip format. Onzième Commandement I would therefore not be understood as eleventh commandment, although this is of course seen linguistically alluring.
I rather think of something like a suicide mission.
My personal highlights on this record are the pieces 3 to 6: La Cinquième saison, Perfect, Les Songes, La vie nest quun moment.
To my favorite lines include, among others:
Gangster, non je nai pas le temps
Pour moi la vie nest quun moment.
Dans la vie du rap, je suis le Claudimat.
Depending représente la rime hexagonal
Populaire, littéraire, pure Scandale.
Jaime leur style mais le mien crée
Et rien à voir avec le nai rap américain.
Et si les rimes tarrivent comme un calmant
Cest la vie que nest quun moment.
Nice that there are records like this. Who the French language, particularly with the skillful use of them like the MC Solaar is thoroughly recommended.
