Where Vive La Vie theme was to be evil teenager, The Klub 7, Children and The End of Espece refusal to reproduce, Grand Siècle is mercilessly attacks the world of rap and conformism imposed by our society. The texts are overtly aggressive, less built than before because more based punchlines, all is a free strand.
As for the instrumentals, where some find that it is a regression from the old project Fuzati is hyper refreshing contrast. The next "cold" electronic music fits perfectly to the texts and allows Fuzati venturing into other universes and environments (Hearses, Bad Trip). And we finally get an album of Fuzati well mixed (I love Fuzati prods of the Klub 7, Last Days and The End of Espece but we must recognize that the mix is always rough and flat and concept hip hop 90's sometimes out of steam).
In the end, Fuzati surely gives us the most surprising album in his discography and not displease me. Risk-taking pays.
