What any buyer should know, however, and which I look at the one or the other bad review here is declare what awaits the player here for a game. Here one gets not a horror game with tens of fright moments, such as the early Resident Evil games. The Walking Dead is instead an adventure that takes place in a zombie world (sometimes with very brutal sequences, but this fits and zugehöhrt, so also quite rightly from 18J. To the subject). In addition to the partially harsh violence, the story with the characters is therefore quite rightly rated with 18+.
Here, the people are extremely credible. All have different issues and stories that will be opened gradually. By profound characters a great attachment to the people is set up, making subsequent decisions during the game very difficult, because you help partially directly over or not help, so you have to decide life or death.
What we are talking about the particular of this game - decisions. During the game several decisions must be made, whether in discussions or critical combat situations. The other characters remember what you said or how you acted, so their attitude towards you changes, resulting in the course of different reactions. This system of decisions is consistently performed over, causing different game histories arise. This leads to a high replay value. I have as I said not even played half of the 5 episodes, and am already looking forward, play the game again and to see the impact of the other decisions and what the resulting are survivors of characters. This own choices lead to a large identification with the main character and a great attachment to the other characters. Along with the aforementioned storyline that leads to one of the most emotional and intense gaming experiences that I know.
Short to Medium:
The graph can be described well with expediently by today's standards. The realtiv rough comic style suits the subject matter and to the fact that The Walking Dead Original yes is also a comic book series. But for me fits and consistent and therefore not a criticism.
The speaker (only English, German with subtitles) make a terrific job and care with the extremely believable game world.
You control I think well done. One needs only 4 full-sized keys and the two analog sticks. With a Moving Lee, the other the cursor to use certain items or to contact people.
Overall, I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend The Walking Dead. For me one of the best games of recent years, which for me even Heavy Rain exceeds due to the large influence of decisions.
But be careful, who is a zombie shooter horror or action - expected game is likely to be surprised!
Update (12.22.2013): Now that the all 5 episodes were played out, I can only confirm the impression that I have given above. The atmosphere thickens again significantly towards the end, so that the most intense gaming experience was that I have ever experienced. I can only recommend everyone to try this game.
Short again for art: the graphics, which is here so often criticized, does not bother me. As written above, I find that the comic style suits and the player experience is easy to transport. Where should I give the critics, however, quite is in the jerkiness. This is partly a bit annoying and disturbing, does not affect me but in crucial situations had compromised. Owing to the overwhelming gaming experience therefore I will stay in 5 stars, despite the stuttering.
One possibility would be to switch to the download version from PlayStation Store, as I have read somewhere that this is a problem of stuttering disc version, which I have not tested, so also can not confirm.
