Get ready to riddle!

First of all: I'm not really the type who writes reviews. But this game is for me the first time the opportunity to express my wholehearted recommendation. Arkham City is clearly better than its predecessor Arkham Asylum and a hot favorite for the title "Game of the Year 2011".

Why this is so and what struck me most positively, I take time "short" together:

Atmosphere, sound etc .:
+ The townscape and the background noise in Arkham City are suitably dark and create a special atmosphere. Despite the dark environment was paid to colors delight in lighting. Just looks good. In addition, remote siren sounds fall in the background (out of Gotham City) in a particularly cool.
+ Who owns a sound system, Batman's should not be fisticuffs with bass support action;
+ The background music fits just perfect.
+ Dialogues are often very funny. There is again the großkotzigen Proverbs opponent during a fight, but Batman does not have to hide (example of the challenges: Batman faces a 20-member, partly armed group and says, "Are you alone pity!").

Pure excitement:
+ Not only the main story, but also the missions of the supporting characters provide much excitement and entertainment!

Riddler riddle:
+ Similar to the first part, the Riddler makes sure that you have to work hard now and his little head. The puzzles are scattered far back, but better and there are many more (about 400 pieces) as in Arkham Asylum. Often Grips and great skill is required, which ensures a pleasant challenge. In addition, you now have to save before the Riddler a number of hostages.

Opponents diversity and their weapons:
+ There are more individual opponents than its predecessor, which can largely be fought with different and at the same time impressive methods. They are armed with knives, among other things, bottles, hammers and protective shields and have body armor and ... oh, I do not prefer to reveal too much;)
+ The opponents themselves are again lovingly designed and see a fire hazard from (a double of Mr. T is also doing :). A normal person would be in front of these figures hide ... but not Batman!

Batman's equipment:
+ There are a lot of new gadgets that Batman offer almost unlimited possibilities and lend a special dynamic when applied correctly the fight scenes. Each gadget per se can be even further vary, which makes for a very considerable equipment Arsenal ... in the spirit of Waynetech ^^ True class is the freeze cannon!
+ The sliding function has improved significantly. When combined with the grappling hook (grappling hook) you can easily fly over large areas. Especially great is the steep crashing down, where you can end the surcharge at the bottom with a shock wave (in matrix style), so that the opponent be knocked over. Very cool!

Combat / FreeFlow system:
+ As far as I know, there is no comparable combat system that provides so much entertainment. This has been further improved compared to Arkham Asylum (including combos can be somewhat easier to maintain). For me, the FreeFlow system is the true heart of the entire game!
+ It is simply a joy to behold, as his opponents Batman takes apart (as Catwoman)! Even Neo from the Matrix would make big eyes. The moves are actually all a gross exaggeration, but that's what makes it funny. Simply great cinema. You just have to have seen!
+ Among the new combos located including the spectacular counterattack of up to three enemies at once, and the counterattack by throwing objects. Also well done is the quick use of even more equipment in a combo. And the combo "scrapping" is just awesome ... and so on.

Challenges:
+ These make up the bulk of fun for me. Just like its predecessor, one learns only in the fight challenges the combos of Batman and Co. to use properly and effectively (points bringing). Who does not make the challenges, missed the chance to exploit the true potential of Batman's combat system, as one rarely encounters major opponents masses within the story.
+ With a little practice you get out stunning combos, what more is more fun, the better you get. For Batman newbies entry could initially be hard, but practice makes perfect ... I had to learn himself.
+ Of course again the hunter challenges, where one is more on "stealth OFF" and the use of gadgets instructed.
+ The challenges were supplemented by the "campaign". Here you have to overcome an additional difficulty three challenges in direct succession.

I like that even otherwise:
+ No multiplayer mode that nobody needs.
+ Very good graphics.
+ Harley Quinn and Catwoman :)
+ In-game rewards such as drafts of Arkham City and character figurines as a nice gimmick.

That could have been better:
The main story is a bit too short. Likewise, the sudden descent of certain characters falls on unpleasant. Nevertheless, I would not emphasize a negative point as yet on quality (dialogues, design etc.) much attention has been paid and there is to discover in Arkham City Riddler's puzzles with various side missions and far more. One must just do not make the mistake and put aside the game after completing the main story! I play for more than 25 hours and an end in terms of story +, puzzles and challenges is not yet in sight.

On the other hand it must be said that Arkham City's main story not artificially pulls through excessively long cut scenes in the length, as do many other games (hits). In Arkham City clearly is the game in the foreground! With the improvement of the gameplay, the battle system, the opponents and Batman's equipment so all the work has been done. It all fits together perfectly.
I play a lot of Playstation, but I was very rare (vll. Not far) from a game so convinced. I would even go so far and thank Rocksteady Studios for this flawless masterpiece. My Opinion: A rating of 5 Star is inappropriate for this game.

Oha, now I've yet written more than I wanted to. Well, vll. It creates so who else up here ^^

This Batman beats actually any other Game 2011. This only confirms my opinion that an excessive hype, like, not necessarily available to many other major title of the year for good quality. The real winner 2011 therefore called Batman: Arkham City!
