We bought the stand for a 18 "inch bike. Since the stand fits very well. Even the lowest setting is already more than sufficient for this bike size. For smaller wheels this column thus does not fit then. The spring is very tight, which is certainly good for the stand stays up. However, it will cost our daughter (6) quite a lot of power fold the stand. So, you can buy the stand, but maybe there are better.
