After much reading in TFT forums I decided on a VA panel because these are simply better for graphics and surfing. Much has been written about the Benq FP91GP 19 inch TFT, also because it is quite cheap for a VA panel. So I ordered the Benq hoping that I should have no problem, such as defective pixels, dents, or thunderstorms animals.
I ordered it on Amazon and it was only 3 to 6 weeks waiting time, but we went in a week and I had him standing very quickly here.
The Benq is a 19 which I liked but the size better than the 17 TFT, it does make a lot more ago by the optics and on the desk, he looks more out.
Unfortunately, he has no height-adjustable stand as the LG, but I had to make compromises and a VA panel in the price range under 250 that was ok.
The structure presented itself easily, then I turned it on and was delighted, high viewing angle that is when I'm sitting on the couch at the side I can still see the image well.
Uniform illumination of colors, good contrast, and the menu is very easy to use, only the gamma values can not be selected in the menu, I've been able to discover any pixel or sub-pixel defects, no dirt or scratches behind the panel.
With 8ms he is to use well for players certainly good, but I can not judge myself as I did not get in involved. I can not judge DVDs look so well.
The Knöfpe menu can be easily reached forward, the edge is narrow and silver colors, the walk is dark, it has DVI and although I run it analog. I can not tell you how the image quality is among DVI, analog but it satisfies me so.
The Monitor Test of Nokia and the test applet on the C't page I saw that he represents all colors equally, also the black and gray colors are uniform. I could find no halos.
I now have about the 1 week there and find him the BenQ monitor is a beautiful, with even illumination and high viewing angles.
Conclusion: for a VA panel this price range this is a good TFT monitor.
I give 4 stars and not 5 because it is not height-adjustable, and because my analog monitor cable seemed a bit thin on the quality compared to other cables, and unfortunately it is a little shorter than that of the LG before, so I once again a power strip had to switch between them in order to operate it, which had never been necessary.
Officially is very little talk about the difference between TN and VA or MVA panels, but it is in my opinion a very important criterion for choosing a LCD. You should know what you want to use it. I think for graphic artists that play is a VA panel, the much better option not.
Anyway, I can choose between the LG TFT with TN panel and the Benq with VA panel a big difference in terms of color find equality, illumination and viewing angles.
