I have 2 in roughly equal rooms (10 m²) where I the DH600 and the other the Entfeuchterbox of Wenko use in a. Both rooms have no dehumidifiers a humidity of around 70%. with dehumidifiers drops of value at 60-62%. To achieve this effect runs the Elro DH600 about 8 hours a day at room temperature around 20 degrees.
I would evaluate the performance of both methods as roughly equivalent, but the amount of water which I bring significantly higher than that from the Wenko after 24h from the DH600 after 8 hour.
I am aware that I arrived with 10 m² already at the upper end of the performance of Elro, but I can live well with 60% I feel the unit but very useful. For small rooms with humidity below 80%, the device is in my opinion, suitable for larger or humid rooms (bathroom, kitchen, basement) it is better to have recourse to a dehumidifier with compressor.
In conclusion I can say that it greatly matter whether you want to dehumidify a room all year round or only 2-3 months a year. In 12 months, I think the full operation Elro DH600 for a better choice than the box of Wenko. However, the shorter the dehumidification is needed the more moves the price / performance ratio in the direction of the chemical dehumidifier.
I'm with the Elro DH600 been satisfied so far and have only a small gripe. The device is still relatively loud (something like a heater). In the next room there is nothing to hear, but in the space in the Elro is serving is the noise quite annoying and interferes with work or sleep - hence a star deduction.
