The ground anchors do exactly what they want. Beaten into the ground with a hammer fix this a weed control fabric etc. properly. In very hard ground or stones in the ground anchors can break - but you can tell the beat into whether the anchor move into the soil or not. The barbed complicate the removal of the anchor well. With a little effort faulty embarked anchor may however be corrected.
