I bought the camera for video chat function of PS3 and have to say I was not disappointed. Unwrapped, infected and works. When videochat PS3 micro only has the camera will be selected and off you go. Unlike some other reviews, I really think the picture quality is good. One must not forget that this is nothing more than a webcam and no HD camcorder. The transfer rates of DSL connections for upload should probably not last for more resolution. I have several times used the camera for a video chat and get confirmed by my chat partner a good picture and sound quality. The input level of the microphone and the voice can still be adjusted, so that even from a greater distance can still use the microphone. The camera has a switch from normal to wide-angle, which is not bad either.
I am completely satisfied with the camera and can recommend it only. And the old PS2 camera in my opinion with the quality does not keep up, as well as to read already was (I also own the old PS2 camera).
