Good disc, but somewhat one-sided

I came across the tape, as I searched for signs of life of the band Motograter. Unfortunately, the probably dissolved, it has Ivan Moody (the singer of Motograter) set with some musicians together and then cobbled together this board here.
At first I only knew the songs from their myspace page and found them all just fat. So hastily ordered the CD and from the post office (Where flight is an understatement, the album became unbearable often postponed).

All in all can not complain, the sound is good, the musicians play their instruments, the chorus stuck, the lyrics fit perfectly to the music and to stand out from the rest pleasant Metalcore pabulum from you.
The biggest sticking point, however, is that all songs are created equal. The double bass is depressed, the pumping bass, the guitars shred to himself, in the verse is sung and screamed clean during the choruses. In the "ballad" The Bleeding contrast to slow you down and the vocals scheme is short hand simply flipped (meaning in the verse vocals in the chorus shouting).
On the MySpace page that fell not so because there were only 4 songs, but spread over a whole album (which I find a bit short with 10 songs, but maybe it's better that way) affects the whole somewhat sobering.

So good band, with many good approaches and one of my favorite singer in their ranks. But in future I want more variety, because of the expected / hoped perennial favorite has not become the album, because the songs are too similar to one another.
Nevertheless: buy recommendation, especially since the guys then perhaps convenient times to Germany :)
