Electric scooters have come a long way in recent years and now available thanks to improved battery technology also at the entry level at reasonable prices. Meanwhile, the scooters have a good range and are equipped with powerful engines. As the entry-level scooter Electronic Star, the "V8 Electro Scooter" answers to the name suggests itself, the test shows.
Supply, installation, first impression
The electric scooter is delivered folded very compact in a cardboard box and is assembled to 97%. The only thing you still have to do, is the assembly of the front wheel, which has done in under 5 minutes, a practiced hand.
The front bar is then arritiert bottom of the scooter via a quick release with a screw. To raise the front bar must be just slightly loosened the screw, then this can be solved and are secured by means of the quick release. The front bar can be adjusted in 2 heights.

Technical aspects
The scooter is folded very portable as it has then 250mm only the dimensions of approximately 695 x 160 x. It is no problem to transport the scooter in your hand or put to the car. 8 kg weighs the scooter in about, which I think is a good value for a compact electric scooter in its class.
The engine power is 120 watts. That is enough to move children forward well (we recommend a scooter from 7 years) but can bring the transport of a full-grown man to the limits. At 80 kg, however, is to instructions eh conclusion severe may not be charged to the scooter.
The 4.5Ah battery which is permanently installed, promises a range of 16 kilometers. This value can be seen in my opinion, as the maximum value, which is reached only at very moderate driving style. Whoever goes full throttle, is a few kilometers lose. The range depends on how much kilos of scooters must push.
Braking the scooter about 2 brakes. The front brake is a normal brake lever which acts on the front wheel, the rear brake is a drum brake. For my taste, the brakes are perfectly adequate.
The battery must be charged according to the manual, unfortunately there is no charging indicator light that just turns off when the battery is full. The following values in relation to loading are given in the instruction manual:

Driving experience
The speed of the scooter is with 12 km / h - indicated 16 km / h. The full 16km / h reached the scooter only the first kilometer and then levels off rather at an estimated 12-14 km / h. The actual speed of travel depends on our extensive testing also clearly on who drives the scooter. While the scooter is going well forward in children and is preparing a lot of driving pleasure, this comes at people close to the 80 kilo mark already to its limits, which is why only a recommendation for children is pronounced in the Conclusion.
As is usual in electric motors is always the same all the torque available, so that the scooter has a good pace and good drive off. The wide tread also problem 2 children's feet may be placed side by side. The brakes work well and as I said the gas that is dosed via a throttle right on the handlebars is easy to dose. The scooter is easy to use for kids and made for a fun-filled afternoon (until the battery all was ;-)).

Even if the scooter is to be easy to drive and have children no problem to keep the balance, is protective equipment on this scooter for kids compulsory!

Motor and battery are adequately sized for children, adults (up to 80kg) may also try it, but then want more access to more powerful e-scooters ;-). All in all a good product with a good price / performance ratio
