For a "Universal Series" product is a good headlamp is but too expensive.
For a "Performance Series" product (such as the Petzl people classify them) I find the headlamp too weak even if the price is reasonable for this category.
Negatives:
- Price
- The focus can not be set to, only the Lichtstärcke!
- The buttons are too small!
- The entire operating concept is much more complicated (the LED Lenser headlamp can that much better but has problems with the cable connecting the battery and lamp !!!); Ok, that may be a software a biesschen adapt but quite a lot of them can not get out Hollen).
- Short battery life
- Susceptible to dirt because of the bright colors
Neutral:
~ Not large but not small
~ Good average light intensity
Positives:
+ Not too hard
+ Battery replaceable
+ Li-Ion battery
+ MicroUSB for charging Schnitstelle
+ Constant luminous intensity for most of the light period
Would I buy it again? Even if it's not bad, probably not.
How so? The price is too high and the light too weak for what you expect from a device of the "Performance Series" expected.
Also have an old, tikka normal with which you can do the same and 3 normal AAA batteries seem to keep "forever" (even if the light is not as bright) compared with the RXP Headlamp.
Have it paid 90 (Dec 2013) but I guess the price will soon be reduced by 20.
