Good game - but not the expected Hit

Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Video Game)

Customer Review

First I want to clarify that I have both predecessors liked to play and that I think Deus Ex Human Revolution for a good game that is actually 4 star deserves, but that many things have been easy for me badly solved that me might ago 7-10 years did not bother with the predecessors, but now it look very dowdy.

Least you could argue about the sound. A very good atmospheric soundtrack and an excellent German Synchro (for example, I find the German Adam Jensen much better than the English). Only the lip sync is so not available, I've seen much better at much older games.

The graphic then haperts already clear. The surroundings seem sterile and lifeless. You can hardly interact with objects, as most are not there. Really bad are the ubiquitous cardboard boxes and crates, whether in an office., In an apartment, in a warehouse or on the road, always the same boxes People are just stupid rum, do nothing, yell at most times, if you have struck a guard.

Now the biggest for me minus points of the game:

The inventory: ammunition is hardly stacked massive takes a place. Every five Powerriegelchen'd need an inventory-square, a giant cup energy even six. From the size of the weapon you need not talk. If you find the sniper rifle at the beginning, the inventory is full already one third, plus a rocket launcher and you have no space left. The result is that one such weapons simply must be on the left.
There is no way to a camp to make as closets. For drawers, etc. can be taken out only things. So if you drop everything on the floor - at least disappears there nothing (apart from the brothel boss in Shanghai, who was suddenly only the bust at ground level to see). If things are to be at a certain place, then you have to just stand on the site. When jumping up on the table and out of the inventory with the rifle. Yes, I know, I'm used to from Fallout and Elder Scrolls too much luxury. But I would have been a single chest served in the game. I do not want to set up my house, yes!

The energy: only the first energy cell that makes charging much broken in the game. The hard-boiled are clear now say that it did not exist the first part. But honestly, how can sneak a longer distance invisibly and silently because I, and in the end maybe even cut down an enemy if I always have only one battery? I can not eat after every action NEN energy bars, so I'm fully back yet. There are not many, also interrupts the flow of the game but only. So how has the Schleicher played in me? I have an opponent lured, got him stunned in combat, the second struck with the stun gun, and hoped that when the third coming of the melee was recharged. I never imagined the invisibility pinched, the silent stealth, simply everything would have cost additional energy. Just so I back in time a full battery had to trigger a melee. Why can not the battery will gradually be charged? That would not alienate the gameplay yet? No, the batteries were not even fully for a hour-long flight.

Sneaking / the raid bosses: I like sneaking, like've every tried ventilation shaft, discovered new ways' because that's what makes the game from. I mean come from behind and got the enemy surprised without alerting. That was just awesome, the voltage and the indescribable joy large if the plan worked. But then the raid bosses' dodge no way a cramped room with a 'super-mutant super-Soldier'. Tactics? None. Just keep moving and wildly throw grenades and draufhalten with ner Wummse helped most.
Sneaking in the game is exciting, but not later than the second time China I was tired. Save, sneak, the melee whatever reason triggered alarm, invite 'all over again. At the end you needed for a passage for 30 minutes that could have been done with ner hyped pistol in 5 minutes. Add to this that the environment graphics does not really help when it comes to distract or lure opponents. While it is possible for competitors to knock on the wall or throw coins, you are here always in search of nem schmeissbaren package or fire extinguishers. But are less available than in habitable houses in the slow passages. Although you can see a lot of junk lying around, but you can not take it and throw.
Only the experience bonus for silent stunning enemy justifies the effort. But if you end a Praxiskit more or less is relatively unimportant.

It should again be said that I actually find the game quite well. I like to sneak hidden routes to discover the enemy to be one step ahead.
But it just has too much stale se. Bothers me that the environment is sterile and dead, it just does not work to life, not realistic, not credible. A good example is an incident the first time in China. Since I had to look into a building to a hacker. I ended, struck down all the guards emptied the floor, tucked the guards in an empty apartment. Then there was a side quest with a real estate agent. Hurry up to her and behold, they lived right in the apartment where I had stowed my stunned opponents, by the way, there were still stunned. Then back to a bar to complete the quest, then back up to the broker if they may have something to say. But ne, the apartment was empty again, except for the still stunned guards.
I would have liked even more cards with more side quests.
The AI also leaves very desired. While this is broadly positive as easier for the players, but it's a little glitch when an opponent wants to press the alarm minutes on the shutdown of my panic button, while something similar to 'Someone has to set off the alarm' repeated while his colleague shoots him with continuous fire in the side, because this really sees me and wants to meet me. I've looked at me for a while and both then redeemed.

It's good, but in times of Fallout, Mass Effect and Co. I'm just a little more normal. I know Deus Ex will be an RPG. But more of them would have done the game.
Instead, it has been kept in my opinion, too much to old (eg inventory) and missed a step forward to make. And then the boss who did not like me as a 'sneak'. All in all, I can not assign four star more, but must go down to three.
