Good game - Durschnittlicher console port

First of all: "The LEGO Movie Videogame" is how recently each PC version of LEGO games on Steam (instead SecuROM) as DRM (copy protection). This is a resale of the game after activation (and resulting bond account) is not possible, as you will be forced to accept terms and conditions that are perhaps one or the other negative regurgitation.

Curiously, the PC version of the game is still NOT GERMAN located. Plant give you so, the game, for example his or her child at Easter to, you should keep in mind that if necessary. Similarly, the Page Store the game on Steam - despite German release - still unavailable. Since the console versions of the game, however, are localized in German, it is assumed that this will also be submitted in the PC version. Seems like it would here any misunderstandings between publishers and Valve (-> operator of Steam Services) given.

(Update from 16/04/2014: Have now heard in some places that now a patch is available, who brings the German localization - but without the original speaker of the movie.)

On the subject of graphics, there is not much to say. Compared with its predecessors, there are a lot of nice new effects such as depth of field or reflections, the LEGO look is this recently completely maintained even possible explosions are now displayed in the form of animated LEGO bricks and the first time is really the whole world from such (was in any case in the previous offshoots not the case) - and also looks really awesome! Unfortunately, the picture is clouded by strong edges fibrillation, a setting for anti-aliasing (MSAA for example) there is in the game options, but must manually using the graphics driver - be enforced - if supported. Only Edge AA is provided by the game, which should weaken the flicker while, but you realize it is not really much. Similarly, there was on my system (i7, 16GiB RAM, GeForce GTX 580) sporadic frame drops (pronounced short stuttering) - but these are to get over.

The sound of the game is consistently great, especially as regards the soundtrack. Otherwise, however, is quite noticeable that one so some sound effects also knows from previous LEGO titles - but that is bleating at a high level. The English dubbing is also managed - are now but also the same speakers as the accompanying movie.
The German Synchro is appropriate - ie a matter of taste (-> PS3 version, as I said, on the PC, there is no German localization.!).

The gameplay is not different from the other games of the LEGO series. To Play by the story of the film in the form of 15 levels. Without explicit searches for Collectibles it took me about 7 hours to finish the game. Well noted that I have not yet reached the long 100% (am moving currently about ~ 19% progress). In addition, there are several bonuses that can be unlocked. Fun is also the 2-player mode. I would also strongly recommend at this point but a controller, the controller via the keyboard is - at least in the default - a real horror, especially in some places, because you still limited with the WASD keys to 8 directions, instead of 360 (controller) is.

In the story, I will not go into detail, because of the film almost 1: 1 is replayed (ledliglich the last 1 to 2 levels are very slightly modified to get a little gameplay to offer). In addition to join many cutscenes, which were taken directly from the film.

Recently a little to port, probably that is the reason that I give the game a star (besides the localization Spatzer) less: You notice a few places that - at least in my opinion - has been ported a little sloppy. The options menu to customize things like control, sound and graphics you're looking for in the main menu in vain - only way is to first start a game and then do it there. Bearable, tarnishes the impression but a little. Second point, the cut scenes. Although there are, however, one notices in some places really significantly (-> Intro video) that attempts have been made to keep them small in terms of file size. This results in a flickering, blocky image - the need for a new game in 2014 but really is not. Also I noticed that suddenly aufploppen in some places in the game instead of the keyboard letters prompts to press a button on an Xbox 360 Controller - just finding out which button corresponds to the keyboard equivalent, but is somewhat nerve-consuming. Likewise, is beyond me why an Intel Core i7, including Nvidia GeForce We suggest 480 - who cares, as long as it runs ...

In summary: Who already liked the LEGO movie, the game will be like in 99% of cases. The levels are varied, fun is always - for all ages - available. Only alone the chaser when it comes to PC port, cloud the overall picture for me. (Yet?) Likewise, the lack of German localization is one or the other is likely - especially as regards the younger crowd - deter. Steam strikes me as DRM system but as a wrong choice, just because it is also aimed at the young audience.
