After several excellent TipToi books and games my daughter wanted to have the number Island. The description sounds good and the idea is also good. However, the reaction may not be the last word. My review relates only to the first two levels of difficulty. Depending on the setting, the treasure chests (which show the calculation result) distributed anywhere on the pitch. One or two characters (mermaid and dolphin) provide the computing tasks and a parrot specifies how many fields can be drawn. And because the problem is already going. The number of steps is arbitrarily given by the parrot and do not know where the treasure chest is correct. So it can happen that one turns several rounds without the proper case to make. This is frustrating for the children. But you can modify the rules a bit and pick up the box and on the fly. The software has some problems, everything to "remember" because we had already several times the problem that occurred in the calculation result of a round three times. But there are only two treasure chests each number. In the second difficulty level it is likely that additional tasks added. Of these, unfortunately, arbitrary and partly inflationary use is made. So it can happen that a player three times in succession receives special tasks. Because the software still seems to have reserves. And here it happens easily that the actual calculation result is forgotten, especially in the pre-school age. The additional tasks are sometimes "Pippi easy" (quote my daughter) and sometimes quite difficult, because time runs out. Here, too, shows the half-baked software because almost always is in the end a task of and immediately after the announcement comes "The time has expired for this task". Furthermore, you should know that each round is limited to a maximum of 36 trains. The parrot logs two moves in advance with a note and then just end. We had before a game where we had there just reached a treasure chest. You could also solve different. As already written several times, the endless explanations nervous. Yes, of course you can "Continue" to show on the button, but why can not we have a "pro mode"?
Overall, we are already disappointed, this game can not keep up with the other TipToi games. With the current software version, I can not recommend buying. I hope for a speedy update of Ravensburger.
