What awaits the inclined Maidenfan of a Steve Harris solo album? Certainly no lame Maiden infusion, finally Harris is one of the creative minds in the Iron Maiden. As such it makes to British Lion with his way back to his own musical roots much correct. Just a pity that he has caught no great moment in musical interpretation. Maybe it is also due to his Mi (e) tmusikern that bring no compelling creative input, such as Roy Z in Bruce Dickinson or Bob Marlette at Halford. But the greatest weakness is the singing. A great singer would certainly be able to save one or the other song, but Harris had with Blaze Bayley no knack for singers choice. What remains is a good idea which fails due to the weak implementation. Ditto with Adrian Smith, who also could not really score points with his solo excursions ASAP and Psycho Motel.
