I knew what to expect because I have informed me about the product before buying.
But it was only now that I see live how annoying the bright LEDs are, I can not figure it out
do. This is in my opinion only a marketing argument from the perspective of the manufacturer.
Since then perhaps says a product manager something like: "The customer is at each use
the activity of the joystick alerted. This creates a positive and sustainable
Customer loyalty .... "Laberbla!
The joystick is made of plastic. This is evident not only that you can feel well. But that's the
Functionality not diminish. Because the technology inside is doing what it should, and the very precise.
The stick has no dead zone, even the smallest deviation from the neutral position
recorded. This may at first sound disadvantageous when conventional joysticks
is accustomed. The scanning of the position is very precise and high-resolution. So come
the game is a very good feeling on the control. Many other joystick is stirred
felt with a bar of soap in hand around. Here "feel" you what to do.
The stick can be rotated for a rudder function, but the rotation is due to the
limited rotational path from the feeling not quite as precise to use as the displacement
of the billet in the horizontal. In addition, the rotation has in my model a small but
noticeable Dead Zone. Since then again the soap in your hands. But going for the price
I have no complaints.
The throttle is a bit shaky, has no externally visible center position or the like.
This could have been done better. But again, no complaint if the good price.
The base is heavy enough. This means you can move the joystick well without
to overturn him. A touch more weight in the foot but would not hurt.
The buttons on the stick and at the foot act all a bit cheap, but do what they should.
That one can remodel and change the joystick from right-to left-handed operation
has been for me not a selling point.
All in all, should be evaluated in this price range in my eyes as well the joystick.
5 stars - for the price of the joystick may feel even after plastic.
The precision will be getting even with very expensive joystick not always.
That you can convert the joystick for left-handed, is a nice feature.
The interrogation of movement without contact (at least in the stick), so hopefully will not
all too soon lead to electromechanical failures or inaccuracies.
Only the LEDs at the bottom of the billet nervous ...
Addendum:
A look in the stand shows that the above criticized LEDs (there are 4 pieces) thankfully
are attached with small screws. This can be solved easily if you previously some space
creates and the boards of the button contacts away in the foot.
Now one can place the LEDs in another place in the housing, the cables are long enough for this purpose.
In the middle of some cables are already accommodated because there is still room for the LEDs.
So you can easily manage by simply the amazing bright LEDs
elsewhere can light up in front of him :-)
