The items are generally well chosen. Of course, the spiny mascot Sonic may not be missing, then the great counterpart to Nintendo's Mario. Here all were considered on the Sega released Sonic parts, including Spinball Flickie's Iceland. Even otherwise you will find the big titles like Golden Axe, Phantasy Star and Alex Kidd. But unfortunately (and therefore there must be a star deduction give) some major title missing. Of course, every player Sega has its own favorites, own nostalgic favorites as you will, it can probably make anyone exactly legal, but ... titles such as World of Illusion, Mega Man, Earthworm Jim, etc., etc. are just in such a collection. Here probably have played a role also license-issues, but too bad it still remains and a small feeling of incompleteness can not be denied.
However, very positive is the menu-presentation and the (available for each game!) Memory mode to mention. At last console title can be the ultra heavy, in part, at any time to save. In the beautifully designed main menu overview you can sort your favorite title on points and gets for each game a little preview in a separate window, very nice. The adaptation to large 16: 9 TV is well done, even on a 50 "plasma, it looks neither distorted nor disproportionately from One can also be image either in original. 4: 3 can be displayed without anti-aliasing, but many titles sees this . especially nice coming out of it quite the feeling of the original console is true, unfortunately, fully on the Sound to:. The Sega console was known (in contrast to the Super Nintendo) for a rather faltering sound chip and the beeps one in this Collection nor shrill ear ... but hey: the nostalgia longs :-)!
