For my purposes as a substitute for the button of a (very old) Fissler stainless steel pot lid had to be slightly adjusted. The existing on my cover screw was too short to reach the button present in the mother. Therefore, they first had to be removed and the lid are pierced. The supplied screw other hand, was too long for the thin-walled stainless steel lid and had to be reduced accordingly. But after that the cover looked like new.
