Looking for an inexpensive spare parts I found this well rated ROTARY FLEX pipe. 11,99 incl. Shipping seemed cheap enough, so quickly ordered and the very next day the DHL man brought the package to the well packaged telescopic tube.
The pipe is chromed (at least outside), weighs about as much as the original powder-coated, is extended about 10 cm shorter and has a very similar locking mechanism as the original part.
The fit is very good at both ends, and otherwise it makes a stable and gutverarbeiteten impression.
I'm ready so pleased with the pipe, the only criticism is the seat of the locking mechanism. Due to the system it is, like the original, in the middle of the extended tube. So there where the two tubes are inserted into each other on the outer tube. Unlike the original part of this release button is in the retracted state but not the top of the handle, but the bottom of the suction nozzle. To extend the telescopic tube you have to bend down to the suction nozzle or even the pipe holding up with nozzle, which does not work so well.
If you often times will adjust the length of the telescopic tube during suction / needs that can already be annoying, I take it in stride and keep that part. How durable the locking mechanism is to be seen.
