good solid hard drive - even for play

was not sure if I should just buy a 2.5-inch hard drive. I have a fairly quiet PC system. To date several years already ran a WD Caviar @ 7200 rpm in my system. I had initially multiple disks sequentially green tested, but I am come statements to that just my 7200 model (which was long no longer produced) was quieter lot as all other plates !!!

Finally, I got the idea on a 2.5-inch disk to upgrade. Only problem was that I wanted to play well on this record store and have read on many sides there could be micro stuttering or the like. However, nothing has realized the like. Although the data transmission takes time, but otherwise you can not complain at all. Games like Crysis, Skyrim, Just Cause 2 with partially large worlds run smoothly and I can not tell the difference at 7200 rpm. Side effect: the plate is very very quiet (without decoupling) and partially cooler than my SSD)

I have installed the drive as non-system partition on a PC with 16GB of RAM and SSD system disk. runs smoothly in AHCI mode. consider myself to buy a second, because still a lot cheaper than SSD.

so you should definitely buy if you are not sure whether the 2,5er are lansgam or too loud. is worthwhile in any case. and at worst, one can return !!
