This applies in particular to important application notes at initial operation in conjunction with a new hard disk (initializing, partitioning, formatting and enable connection or disconnection of the ICY BOX when the computer is running, etc.)
All in all, simple, yet important!

Information about my personal use of the ICY BOX:
In acquired by me ICY BOX I have installed a Western Digital Scorpio Black 750GB WD7500BPKT large hard disk (6.3 cm (2.5 inch), 7200 rpm, 16MB cache, SATA), these formatted in NTFS and can say that they works fine on PC, as well as an external unit to a TV (PANASONIC TX-L37EW30S).
During the PANASONIC TX-L37EW30S easily detects NTFS, but FAT32 formatted disk in the ICY BOX and thus optimally cope (with only a USB cable), for example, the hard disk has the Panasonic 3D Blue ray player DMP-BDT111 necessarily FAT32 formatted!
Also requires the ICY BOX, or the built-in hard drive for better power supply either the USB Y-cable, or addition and Amit Extra USB power cable.
By the way, with NTFS formatting the hard drive functioned during og Blue Ray player unfortunately nothing at all!

Regardless of my personal use of this ICY BOX is my conclusion:
