The Harman Kardon devices were too large and impractical to me. Sonically are both clearly in the first place, but the Onyx Studio has such. B. no AUX port, Bluetooth only. The Go & Play does not have a battery.
For me the sound of the Bose SoundLink Mini was too bassy and not clear enough. In general, it does not sound quite round at low volumes and due to misalignment. The SoundLink 3 was just too expensive (about 220 compared to Denon Envaya 140).
For Sony, the X3 is kicked out very quickly, it actually lacks the complete bass compared to the other (for he is also much smaller and more portable).

Direct comparison between Denon Envaya, Sony SRS-X5 and Harman Kardon Go & Play
In order to compare the Sony SRS-X5 and the Denon I both have directly compared with the Go & Play (borrowed) as a reference.
The Sony SRS-X5 I had ordered me to direct comparison, because it costs about 140. At first I was very surprised how good the sound. Very space for the size and a very strong bass. The sound function is well managed. From the exterior also a bit better, because he is at the side made of brushed aluminum and therefore feels very valuable. Pairing etc with no problems.
Unfortunately, the first impression was not confirmed. Low volumes are hardly reasonable, because then comes through only the bass. For about 80% volume it starts to vibrate and the bass beats from, so you can hear a distinct hum.
The biggest problem was the fact that the volume, whether loud or soft, can not be kept. In rock, the effect is very clearly audible, as if the Sony SRS-X5 overloaded. It regulates continuously between highs and lows, which means that it sounds like someone playing with the volume.
In direct comparison with the Denon significantly worse.

Denon Envaya:
The scope of delivery is very good, 4 colored fabric covers and 3 different adapters for the power supply. You need probably not really, but still quite nice. Unfortunately, an AUX cable is not present, even when Sony is none here.
Bluetooth pairing here runs very quickly and easily. It's also very convenient that you can simultaneously connect 3 devices. Here you can switch very quickly eg., Between smartphone and notebook.
Also a very valent feeling down to the glossy plastic on the back. The speaker grille is made of metal, thus also shockproof. The grille is held with a magnetic closure and is fully seated. The replacement of the fabric covers is very easy and works without problems. The mainstay folds out with one hand and is safe because it is slightly rubberized at the bottom.
Generally very well made, nothing to complain about.
Sound:
Sonically much more balanced and more uniform than the Sony SRS-X5. If the Denon with the Bose SoundLink 3 to a level bodies, possibly at maximum volume is not quite as strong. Spatially sounds of Denon in a 25m² room very well, in larger rooms you have more to Harman Kardon grab.
At low volume it sounds great to be so perfect to listen for in the background. B. Internet Radio. If you turn further on he also sounds very good. Very clear and the bass is well brought over. Only at maximum volume you can feel that it is a small portable speakers, but you can feel at SoundLink 3 also.
At medium volume to get a single charge at least. 6 hours. Since I'm really surprised. At higher volume it are rather only 4-5 hours.
Operation:
The volume buttons do not display, so you can not directly see at what level (about 10 steps) you stand.
In general, the keys have a good tactile feedback. Battery indicator is very simple, just fine.

- Can highly recommend the Denon Envaya than small mobile speakers perfect
- High-quality workmanship
- Clearly superior compared to the Sony X5 and Bose SoundLink Mini
- Sonically similar to the Bose SoundLink 3
- Of course, not as space-filling and good as the Harman Kardon Go & Play, comparable at medium volume and small spaces
