+ Super bright, razor-sharp display
+ Good keyboard, good pressure points
+ No problems with fingerprints
+ Speaker facing forward with good sound
+ Modern Design
+ 2GB of RAM
+ Switch mode solved ingeniously
+ Very sabile connector
+ HDMI - connection
+ Fully-fledged Windows 8.1
+ Charging cable not USB
+ Gorilla Glass
+ Extreme perspective Stable
+ Touchpad works, Windows key also. The problems of SW5-011 series are released
+ Presentation mode is awesome. Simply rotate 180 degrees, and plugging in bed at night saves you holding the tablets, both hands to operate freely and to tilt to the desired angle it easy. Can the Asus Transformer is not so. Simple Tablets also not because the Angle of tilt is mostly fixed.
+/- Battery life varies between 5-7 hours
+/- Charging cable is a bit short
+/- Can not be charged via USB (of course, are not liable for blocked port USW)
+/- USB port on the keyboard dock - Tablet ownership only mini-USB
+/- From a certain angle of inclination kipppt tablet backwards (in the version with hard drive probably later)
+/- Windows key is now gone as a real button on the right side and no longer, as in the picture as a contact center touch. Is probably the massive report problems when SW5-011 owed but not a real disadvantage for bold variant.
+/- "Only" Office 365
- The first negative is unfortunately somewhat more important because the device in desktop mode with more complex web pages a bit abuts the load limit and then a little choppy when scrolling displays, for whatever reason. In tablet mode, everything runs smoothly. The thing I have to go to the bottom. If you like Mouse and keyboard surfing ... in the long run it might annoy costs.
- Full-HD movies streamed via Amazon unfortunately also bucking. HD works just fine. This fact is a bit of a shame, because the display even now extra full-HD support but you then can not use it for this purpose. Other run full HD streams. Perhaps it is due to the use of Amazon Software Silverlight.
On the one hand can be found for the price currently nothing comparable on the market. On the other hand, the annoying little geruckel unfortunately a little surfing, but only in desktop mode. The processor should have sufficient power. 2GB of RAM are now no peak power but it should actually run smoothly .. I watch on.
Addendum:
I'll keep the device. The few small stuttering are probably just the full-fledged Windows owed 8.1 Desktop version. In tablet mode, everything runs smoothly. Namely superfluid. Office and hits also. The rest convinced anyway. I still want to give to concerns that the version with hard drive although quite advantages (tilt angle display), but the hard drive in the tablet mode is not available because built into the keyboard dock. I have therefore decided for the 32GB version and expand this to 64GB. As a secondary device in my opinion satisfy even 32GB with no extension, despite Office, antivirus software, standard apps and Windows updates.
Addendum BIOS update:
I have been faced from time to time with the problem that the unit did not let on. The Acer support referred to a BIOS update. Takes less than 5 minutes, and then no more problems were discernible.
