The "Octomore 6.1" made by Bruichladdich is one of the most peated whiskeys ever. The smoke level of 167 ppm speaks volumes and is therefore only for lovers of this type of whiskey. The Octomore is generally a high-priced whiskey considering his young age of 5 years straight times. A limited edition and therefore brought about shortages of the bottler results in this price continues to rise over time. The "Octomore" is therefore suitable also for collectors as an investment. Previous issues, for example the Octomore 4.1, go now significantly more expensive than the former sales price over the counter, here gains of more than 100% are not uncommon and conceded. Clean taste is the Octomore 6.1 a good, but not a very good whiskey. The high smoke content ensures that other flavors to unfold and therefore hardly be seen quite unbalanced. Clean the price / performance ratio can be found there in the market for connoisseurs certainly better / more balanced bottlings for this price. Who can, however, pay this price and want that gets for his money optically a real gem in the collection and a strong smoky whiskey to drink at any time and can enjoy.
