The numerous routes and ships are implemented in great detail to HD resolution. The look and sound absolutely fit for Wipeout mood. The soundtrack is fine - I would wish only once again completely new compositions like Wipeout 1 times, which was composed mostly of "Cold Storage". Whether there will be something again?
The difficulty is Wipeout typical and very subjective depending on experience with Wipeout.
The control is unlike Pure and pulses. A matter of taste - but I like it very accessible direct control not so good. From the last part I like the best of Pure. Whether the speed of rolls in the air is a matter of taste like - I think you could omit it.
I feel that the speed arrows should bring slightly less advantage - a victory if you missed an often no longer possible. A little more focus on good cornering technique would have preferred. If you can get a route perfectly, then the "Icaras" ship is always the fastest. Online matches are so often occupied only with Icaras vessels in the lower speed classes. In the absence of diversity which then acts a bit bland.
The multiplayer mode on the Sony Online Network is quite officially. I'm not sure if it gives me only a few active online players, but you must often wait long in the lobby on a few random players. Occasionally, the skills of the players are then very widely, so exciting matches are not the rule.
Online players often leave early on a contest - which can be annoying. But for that, the game is not much - Sony would have vlt it. can come up with a form of punishment;) Should there be more generally - in rough unsportsmanlike actions, the storage level should be deleted: D
Despite good internet connection rarely arise effects that the ships of online gamers in the position slightly offset, for a game with the game mechanics of Wipeout this is disadvantageous due to the frequency but manageable.
A local network mode does not exist. That's too bad. (Also applies to Gran Turismo 5) I can not imagine that a conversion would have been very complicated and expensive.
Total Wipeout a round that makes a lot of fun.
