First, the positives on the router, it has passed the 4 antennas a good range / coverage.
But the most important fact to a router is the GUI and the Netgear used herein the addition genius incomprehensible to me.
The structure is not recognizable ... unfortunately.

Has the USB interface on the network, unfortunately, only USB 2.0 Performace, at least in the HW used by me. I can not get the speed of the USB port on the PC with my USB 3.0 HDU.

With an Intel SSD can I get the USB 3.0 port (compatible with USB 3.0 SATA to USB Adatper) to 25MB / second (NTFS), cable 1000MBit.
At the USB port of my NAS I get to 102MB / sec (of possible 125MB / second). In both cases, the PC, via cable, connected to the R7500.

With the SW V1.0.0.68 performance has been improved by 60 MB / sec read and 40 MB / sec writing. That's OK for the device.

Nice for Windows users, they can access the hard drive via SMB.

Overall, the router is very warm, I would tap times to about 40 degrees Celsius.

At the current price of about 200 euros I can not recommend the device, unfortunately.
A router which is the price at the top of the Ending Konsumersegment must also offer opportunities that are there and can not come up with a surface offering 50 euros router.
At least in the advanced mode, the user should decide which functions he wants to use or not.
