Goodbye SLR - Lumix G3 rocks

Caveat: I am not a professional photographer. So please do not expect any technical details.
I switched from a Canon 400D. At first I wanted to buy the 60D and I actually had both tested side by side in the store.

What made you choose us for the Lumix:
- The Weight. Who has gone times a day with a 400D by Disney World, appreciate the weight of the Lumix.
My wife would never have the Canon supported in your handbag. When Lumix is ​​not a problem :-)
- The image quality. The Canon 400D has always made good pictures that the Lumix but are mE better (I can by now about 1000 photos definitely say).
- The handiness. Of course it was my Canon grip (incl. The battery grip). But quickly you get used to it. And even my wife uses the Lumix much more often.
- The Gehaeusefarbe (no joke). The chocolate version (Brown) looks simply times different than the barren black and we did not want to "glow in the dark" -Red camera. (Such a stylish product may actually even in the handbag ....)
- The Price. Why spend EUR 1 100 if I a sensational camera (with 14-42 Kit) received 540 Eur.
- Resolution: 16 M pixels. Because it needs no higher zoom .... on the computer I can still "cut out" a good 4MB image ... (but at some point I'm going to maybe buy the 14-140er ....)
- Autofocus and continuous shooting: Wow. Who has an older digicam. go and try it just once in the store. This is awesome. 0.1 sec. The G3 makes about 4 frames per second. Unfortunately I have only one inside Class6 smart card. This is usually after 20 Serienbilern conclusion.
- The Seeker: Brilliant. I do not want to miss him.
- The LCD Screen: Finally someone who has thought. No "Nasenabruecke" more on the screen, because you can fold it.

Not soo great:
- That the battery has already been mentioned. I have two spare batteries bought (16 USD). Work fine.
- Video function: OK, but the camera is definitely only suitable for occasional videos. The micro is good, unfortunately, an external can not be connected.
- Panasonic advertises the 3D lens, but be careful. That's just for photos. Not apply to videos. The latter would obviously be interesting times.

In short: Light, stylish and super picture quality. I can recommend it to anyone.
