Before buying I downloaded the 94-page manual to this box of Fritz.de as a PDF file and studied. When I had the box then, to connect, install the driver on your PC (WIN-XP Home), entering the connection information and the connection of the PC via LAN to the Internet ran without any problems. Similarly straightforward as the installation of a USB printer. The following inclusion of my three year old ALDI notebooks (also WIN XP home) via WLAN and WPA encryption prepared no problems, although the notebook according to the manual is supposed to have only WEP encryption. The WLAN driver in the notebook was obviously recent origin. I can the Fritz! Box WLAN 3170 therefore only recommend. Only the lack of a printed version of the manual is slightly to complain.
