After a Malaysia holiday with 6 kg of Fotokrams I started to analyze my pictures and asked me what I can probably bring the fun of taking pictures back.
Result: Sony SAL 50 1.8 remains (light fixed focal length - who has not been photographed with a fixed focal length, should thus start) and to complement the Sony SAL 18-135.
Additional accessories (small TOGOPOD tripod, Metz 58 flash, screen and stand, reflector, Rouge flash films, connectors, cards, extra batteries, and soon a Lowe Event Fair Enger 150 camera bag).
For Sony SAL 18135 lens can be said that it harmonizes wonderfully with the Sony A57. The usual Verzehrungen and CA's of travel zoom camera Intern be eliminated.
If something more focal length is needed, I use the Clearzomm the A57, which indeed leads the you lose something on pixels and must inevitably change to the JPEG format, but let's be honest, long focal length and clear image with high resolution are always a balancing act between fast lens and thus "huge Ballermann", or high ISO and some noise, or loss of detail by motion blur, or stand duty.
For me, the loss of detail by Clear Zoom and a little more noise was (little Sony Alpha 57 can be very good with high Isowerten) a reasonable limitation that me for an enormous weight (70-200 = 1.15 kg + 17-50 0 , 4 kg compared with 18-135 = 0.4 kg) and space savings earned.
I also spare me the lens changes and am just so "quickly". (In Malaysia vacations I have beautiful scenes can not hold, because just had the wrong lens on it.)
How has perhaps already been heard, I am happy with the camera and go for this lens is like made.
This lens is not a special lens and that's good! It is designed on a good compromise between size, weight and performance to be in order to be well prepared in most situations.
As a nice addition, I can recommend the budget (150) Sony SAL 50 1.8 lens very. This prime lens comes with me to use when Tiefenunschärfe and / or high light intensity are required (eg Portrait, Night on markets, etc.), and there is übelst sharp and contrasty.
I love the SA 18-135 a lot of fun. I have my camera back more often and have thereby again more photographic fun and that's important to me.
Photographing shall be my hobby, I do not live on it. Much more important than making it technically more perfect photos is beyond me, I can hold the "key, right moments," and that is only possible when the camera is. Because, as the saying goes, "..the best camera is the one you have here."
I give this lens 5 stars and would recommend it to everyone looking for an "Always top lens". The full power of his camera but unleashed only in conjunction with special lenses, special lenses.
