Regarding the soloists I agree with my co-reviewers fully to, all to convince the singer and the joy of singing the songs makes quickly noticeable. In another review to this article is talk of a "duplication" of the vocals. This is indeed the case, there is a second, eingesungene of the singers voice. This sounds when listening very carefully any getting used to, since a backing vocalist sings the second votes in the live performances, and not the singer himself (this is made possible by the multi-track recording studio). The two-part bodies in the songs, however, are metered so that they do not gain the upper hand, act not intrusive, but give the text special emphasis, and the Arrangement more wealth.
The package is first class. What started out as years of Geiger something bothers me are the (albeit absolutely convincing rehearsed) synthetic strings. I think, especially since the occupation of a Broadway musical is not very lush fails that attached here the use of real strings and would have been even more convincing in the end. But since, in accordance with the subject matter, in the arrangements the rhythm section in general is in the foreground (be sure to observe the performance of the percussionist), this hardly bothers listening to the songs.
Another highlight of the CD is definitely the bonus track, a personally sung by Phil Collins version of the title "Everything that I am". Those familiar with the history, know that Tarzan sing this song when he learns at the end of the piece, where its roots lie. Namely the people, and not, as he thought for years, in the Affanfamilie in which he grew up.
The mood that is required to produce such a situation, was also in this package, mainly through the use of excellent-established acoustic guitars, very well captured.
In summary, I put this CD every warmly, standing on good music, sometimes takes a look at the lyrics and just wants to get to know a whole new side of the genre "musical".
Warning: After listening to this CD, there is a strong likelihood that you will advance a few tickets for the German version of the musical, which will begin later this year in Hamburg.
