Great but with quirks

I have the solar shower ordered on 12 June 2012 with a bad gut feeling to Austria / Vienna. The delivery time was, according to Amazon.com up to 21 working days. To my surprise, the product was delivered but of 5 days later on DPD home. The joy was huge. The shower was really chic for the price of just over 100 euros. The valves are now not pure luxury and of course not but for the garden ranges from high quality it!
But no matter when you unpack 2:50 meters (!!!) package deal to me a striking blemishes on the shower: The stand was broken. This meant the Back of the delivered 15 minutes before a shower.
I called DPD and demanded a collection of the package. However, you referred me to Amazon.com or the seller. As I said-done. I wrote emails with the Bergland Handels-GmbH and they promptly replied that I could choose me an appointment and the DPD collection service would come on that day. This was then also. What you had forgotten was that the package above 1.50 was long -namely 2.50m- and thus was considered cargo. The DPD employee refused the acquisition of the package. Long story short: It took me 2 (!!!) weeks and 30 to me a new shower was delivered. The 30 were me though refunded but it took many phone calls with the freight company DPD. DPD was totally incompetent and ignorant.

But the story does not Ende.Von reviews I read out that the screws were allegedly insufficient. In the time when the second shower on the way was, I got in a lot of OBI washers (the present were not supplied / are) and longer screws incl. Steel dowels. These were screwed into a concrete foundation and it took very long to realize that the shower can not possibly stand up straight. The Problem. the base and the body of the shower is not an element but only plugged into each other. This means that the shower did not "bomb fixed" in the version available but yields in wind or when lean against. With many hours of work and washers, we were able to fix the shower anyway.

Now to the shower experience: GORGEOUS !! It is crucial to find a good place for the shower, which means a full-time non-stop Sonneneintrahlung. Then the water is up to 40/45 degrees Celsius (60 degrees is utopia ..) With the mixer can cause cool water and you get a pleasant desire temperature. By the way, we have the hose buried 20 cm that the water in the hose is not hot and they burn up :)

Conclusion: A really great product, which in terms of quality unique to the private garden available. It takes a decent concrete foundation which the shower, which so weighs just around 50 kilos can wear (incl. Water). Who really has no manual skills is better to keep your hands of it, for concreting, screws and designing needs a lot of time and patience.
And by the way: You should think what to do with the shower in the winter. Only leave the water and invert a plastic bag over it's no solution. We have considered too late. Because Unscrew is not an option or not going :(
