So had a New Mac forth - until I flirted with the MacPro, because he is the best on the market simply by the benchmarks. With the introduction of Intel i3 / i5 / i7 iMac in an alternative ended up being found. I am engaged in the experiment in the smallest i3 iMac and was not disappointed.
I now have the iMac 21.5 "3.06GHz i3 with the small hard drive (500GB) are here on the table -> sufficient wholeheartedly!
Primarily I need the computer to my RAW images from Canon to develop and manage. Even the mirrored display is wonderfully suited, although many say you can not. It's just yet! It is certainly against a NEC or EIZO display. Calibrated, it is the top dog in the market quite equal.
Anyone who can make do with the small hard disk, I recommend this Apple flatly.
I still see the disadvantages:
- The hard drive I have to eventually trade for a 2TB.
- The main memory (RAM) is good with 4GB, but I will upgrade to 16GB soon - graphics applications would like a lot of RAM.
Benefits:
- MacOS X
- The design is great
- Wireless keyboard, mouse, trackpad and wireless prevent tangled wires
- Speakers are very good!
