the story is very exciting and almost set up like a dokumetation. Krakauer also tries not a sympathy or antipathy to polarize for the hero. it still remains to the reader whether one approves of McCandless acts or sees him as stupid young adventurers.
for me that is entering into the wild beauty of nature, solitude and wilderness survival an interesting thought. but all acts of chris I can not understand, for example, why he burns his money - that seems to me stupid and defiant.
the film version of Sean Penn interests me very much, but I wanted to first read the book to their own images in my head to give rise. am so very excited.
The book is definitely highly recommended and shattering.
