Hit my Logilink WLAN Adapter chosen because many buyers have already reported very positive about the suitability of Linux. I can confirm PC plugged into an installed with Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon HP desktop to the USB and immediately available Wi-Fi networks are displayed only this. Even on my not yet rearranged Dell Desktop with the old Linux Mint 14 Mate Version dito. No additional driver required, no configuration, it works right away and out-of-the-box. Just great !! If only all hardware would be Linux-friendly. The scope of the connection I can not say anything negative, at about 5 m incl. Two walls about 75% receiving power. Also, the data throughput is absolutely ok. much faster, it also did not work directly on the cable. Windows suitability I have not tested, but I'm assuming that this is just not a problem (apart from the usual Windows installation arias), because even the Windows 8 is noted suitability on the packaging.
