Great game, stupid platform

I love the Sims and have finally again want to bring the game to me, where I bought it at Origin. It was about 2 weeks, wonderful, until it no longer started, though it indicated that it ran. I registered at Origin, confirmed the e-mail address and I tried to log in thesims3.com. The latter is completely failed. The rest made simply no difference. Very annoying. Otherwise I would have simply purchase the discs. I also find it overall very unpleasant, having to log in anywhere. Definitely not buy recommendation from me.
