The light color is very pleasant, slightly less yellow than the old candle lamps you replace, but by no means "cold." They are clearly brighter than 40W incandescent. We use them in a closed ceiling light in the living area, so the small size was decisive for us. Many LED lamps are too large and did not fit into the luminaire.
