After I read a lot of effusive and much devastating on so-called budget smartphones, much my views towards France ... more specifically on the manufacturer Wiko.
After I've read in various forums and review sites about the abundance of supply apparatuses of this manufacturer, a lot my attention to the Wiko Rainbow.
Nice size. Great display, removable battery, a dual-core processor, which is not among the weakest of his caliber.
Well .... the internal memory of 4GB could be a bit tight for the one or the other, but it can be a micro SD card up to 32GB nachrüsen easily and even house apps can be transferred to this thanks to the software so that it is not too fast running out.
The housing and the display feel, even if only the plastic used depends very valuable. The feel is very good for a device, which is to have as low.
Both SIM card slots are fully equipped and with my two maps there is no problem to use them in parallel.
Care should be taken only in the mobile data connection, that if you want to use UMTS data from a card to activate the video call and in the SIM management for your card.
The GPS is the way the hammer .... within seconds the location on 5m is accurately determined, making it very easy to navigate via smartphone and leads me to the right destination. With my old smartphone Fix dauer0te ever up to 3min ... that was somehow not the hit, but with my new Wiko really runs very well.
The battery life is also very good ... I can leave the unit with activated WLAN and Bluetooth running over 1.5 days without giving up a bit of Messenger, SMS and phone calls. And since I do not play any games with the smartphone, the battery time I noticed really enjoyable.
The internal camera triggers with 8MP, which is more than enough for one or two Snappschuss.
Unfortunately, here is the vorinstalliere camera app a little underpowered and only stores a lightweight jpeg image to the SD card. With an alternative camera app but the full 8MP be used and the photos are accordingly detailed.
As far as I am very pleased with this unit for two months. I could imagine at least for this price nothing better ... and I also have seen nothing yet, what comes quaiitativ ran.
Only, and this there is a star deduction, the update support from Wiko could an update to Android 4.4, a little push, because there is already finished Updates for identical devices from the "original producer" Tinno Mobile, but either of Wiko still free have been given or that no longer come at the worst. But I hope for the best and assume that an update will be released on Android 4.4 shortly.
Updated on 10.18.2014: The update to Android 4.4 KitKat is available since last. Excellent!
They are about to see an update, which must first be downloaded from the website of Wiko downloaded and will be installed when the phone is connected via USB. For instructions Wiko has the same update package placed with at.
It is an almost "pure" Android version without pre-installed apps that have really bother me at the Android 4.2 software.
There is to be observed when the update actually only that all installed apps after the update must be installed through the store again and can not be taken over the personal data.
That's a pity, but in this "version jump" this is obviously not to be avoided, but you can export the data so previously or synchronize with the Google server, so that they can be imported without any problems afterwards.
My Opinion: This update is worth it!
