Great, unfortunately relatively unknown outdoor play, as an alternative to Kubb

Video at Amazon.com Man Show poses with a wooden stick to other wood cone. This is a somewhat familiar, the principle is known of Kubb. But it from the game has little to do with Kubb and is rather a great alternative and variety to this classic. Unfortunately Möllky is still relatively unknown, but I just hope through this review a few new fans for this truly great game to win.
In the video I show the whole live once: play materials, construction, rough rule overview, gameplay and a few litters, even if the camera is always a little verreißt in litters. The whole has been somewhat improvised in the pool, but should nevertheless provide a good overview, I hope. Incidentally, I do not know why I sounded in the video out of breath, I actually was not that;)

I summarize the whole nevertheless here again a short together.
There are 12 bowling with figures of 1-12. This will set up in a cone shape and then throw line is in 3-4m distance marked by the thrown. Everyone plays for himself and the goal is to reach the first player just 50 points. If you have more than 50 points to fall back to 25 points, so you have to come exactly to the 50.

Hitting just one cone you get the printed points well written, so it shall take only the 5 so you get 5 points well written. Hitting multiple cones, so that more than one falls one obtains as many points as it has overturned cone. So you meet the 1,3,6,10,12 we get five points. However, only count the cone, lying on the grass, that would be on the 1 3, you'd only get four points (see video here is that very Enforcers). The cones are always placed there where they are.
Say at the beginning of the pitch is just 40x50cm in size, is in the course of the game but getting bigger, mostly fly the taper toward the back so that the cone can be very far apart, and the pitch is several meters long and wide.

The playing time is usually so about 30 minutes, depending on the number of players, so that you can also loose play several games in a row. The game can be played wonderfully in the garden, the outdoor pool or on a lawn, you just need a little space. The risk of people or objects is accidentally shoot actually rather low if you can a little.

Compared to Kubb I find it very positive that more often has a sense of achievement because you meet simply much more frequently than in Kubb, at least that's in my lap like that. In Kubb can probably know 10 minutes play without you meet a wooden block at the Mölkky tends to be rare. For Kubb is a team game where everyone plays Mölkky for what I personally find but not bad. Only those who can not lose, at kanns Mölkky not push his teammate)

You can play with any Mölkky principle players, but are optimally 2-6. With more people, it just takes a long time until you get back to it is, but if you casually grilling or so, then it is no problem to play with more people. Even for couples, it is very well and excellently playable.

Conclusion:
Mölkky is a very great outdoor game, accessible with easy rules, a pleasant playing time and a lot of fun. You can play with young and old, the number of players is variably adjustable and it's just ne nice pastime during grilling, the outdoor pool or on a beautiful afternoon on the lawn or in the garden. The quality is very good, the material is durable, of course, gets to the time a few quirks, but that's completely normal in wood litter games.
It has fortunately not hot: Kubb or Mölkky, neither is "better", if you like games of this type, simply bring both. Variety never hurts, I personally like but currently Mölkky prefer.
