Allgmeiner impression:
First of all, to say that the quality, etc. which processing, paint As is fine and the design is consistently appealing. The grill is also still delivered in a protective cover, so to speak, makes "mobile" it - you can do it theoretically in advance filled with charcoal and then -man in the slipcover could also carry bag say- take anywhere with and there then losgrillen immediately. One should return transport probably make sure that the grill is not hot put in your pocket, because they do not like the "Son of Hibachi" grill made of heat resistant material. In addition, in any case no hot coal should be stored or parked in enclosed spaces - danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. If possible should therefore be removed from the carbon cage before transporting the hot coal. The fact that the carbon cage is still completely covered by an additional metal plate on the grill, can actually get no dripping into the flames, thus avoiding to today's health research, the cancer-causing combustion products during dripping to the coal and thus to assess postitiv. The assembly is quick Equip: Batteries contained in, remove the remaining portions of the plastic sheet and off you go. I thought ...
1. Grill attempt:
I have filled the grill basket on the first attempt with barbecue Beechen charcoal. Somehow, after application of the fire accelerator but all the fire is not really going, so I had to do several Anzündversuche. After some time, then the coal from the outside appeared to be sufficiently hot so that the first barbecue attempt could be made. But somehow brought the barbecue not materialize enough heat. On the central metal plate of barbecue grate a lot of heat was present on the remaining surface too little. As a result, the food was so tanned irregularly - from burned up halfway so everything was represented within a cooking product. I suppose that the error in the way too big Beechen charcoal pieces was who probably developed only up enough heat, but not in the width. It was noted, moreover, that the barbecued food is very fast stuck to the grill and then also here Branded fast. Consequently, so a very elaborate grill cleaning was the result.
Conclusion: large charcoal pieces are unsuitable also the rust must be oiled apparently so that the grilled food can not stick immediately.
2. Grill attempt:
Here I have crushed the book coal previously used, so that the carbon surface has increased. Once Again, several Anzündversuche had failed, I tried it with Zündgel and lo and behold, the coal began relatively quickly ignite. So I quickly draufgepackt the -geölten- grill and waited for the coal durchzündet to draufzulegen the food. Due to fan the coal fires by quickly, but also put some time a sparking a who firmly sat on the grill and this dirty. In addition, also burned anything into the steel bowl. Thus therefore had to be cleaned and lubricated again before placing the food to be grilled the grill before we really got started with the crickets. Unfortunately burned / pasted again the food to be grilled on the anti-corrosion, probably by the pollution in the ignition phase, the first not sofrt and completely remove allowed. In addition, the grill on the colored outer shell was very hot, so I have a "table grilling" not risking prefer, but would rather keep the pot at the stone floor. Cooking time was appropriate.
Conclusion: Fast ignited by coal, and sufficient heat for even grilling, but unfortunately again heavily soiled grill including inner shell with fire residues. In addition, very hot outdoor pot.
Fortunately, everything was clean again. Very stubborn this was the inner shell. Here even Stahlfix & Co have failed - only with "Bref Power against fat & Branded" could all be restored without residue.
Overall conclusions by two grill Try: Good design, rapid gas ignition (if because of the ignition process succeeds), "healthy grilling" and average heat power (at a fully operational fan) are one apparently always festklebendem food on the metal plate in the grate center and an adjoining very elaborate grill cleaning opposite. If, now the high selling price in the Focus, the grill is only "okay" and (still) not a high flyer, how would probably suspected it.
Grill the next attempt I will try with bamboo charcoal (Bamboocha Shisha natural charcoal), have read in a grill Forum that will be well suited for this grill. The "Grill experiment no. 3" I'll nachrezensieren and also think about further action against the "sticking" of the food on the grill.
Addendum: Third attempt Grill much better with bamboo charcoal. Oiling the grid but to avoid in any case, since in particular heats the metal plate directly above the coal and thus greatly verbennt the oil or heated so strongly that residues remain. So I'll only barbecue "pure". The heat generated by the bamboo charcoal is okay, the cooking time in the lower average range. Since you can but Relighting again in four minutes, which is negligible. At the overall impression of the grill that changes though not much - the barbecue is just above the average and leads you look at the price in mind, you have to look if you want to spend so much money.
