These USB sound card does a good job. The sound is really good and the output level (for example) headphones is much better than with an onboard sound. Even with the microphone, there are no problems with Skype or Teamspeak 3. The only thing that is not great about this product is the driver for Windows 7 64-bit from Creative. If you put this drive into a USB port, Windows 7 detects this as a USB sound device. To ensure that this works wonderfully, but you have then the function CMSS-3D refrain enables surround sound for headphones. If you install the driver from Creative website, this function does work with Windows 7, however, occurred in my sporadic blue screens on. Tested on two systems and with two SoundBlaster Play sound cards. After uninstalling the driver and the standard driver-detection of Windows 7, this error was corrected again. Here you can tell unfortunately again that the driver support by the company Creative is very modest again. I've had bad experiences with desöfteren Creative drivers. For those who have no chance to install a sound card in the computer, and can dispense feature on the CMSS-3D, this stick is a recommendation but definitely worth it. Cheaper drives often have the problem with crackling or pops in the sound when playing music, movies or games. This I could not perceive with the Creative Sound Blaster Play.
