1. Under the surface (7/10)
addictive, beautiful intro, as an opener real perfect. The very lyrically. Here you could tell, is what direction the album, with the choirs and the gentle, melodious guitar. Like me, but compared to the rest of the album, I do not listen to the song as many times.
2. Against (8/10)
The song rocks really as one of two. The "against against against against" also happens to be a very penetrating catchy. The end is my favorite. Recalls how the band also said already even has a bit of the Foo Fighters ("Rope").
3. At Sky (7/10)
The song was already known in advance. Holds the album thematically quite well. And I somehow became clear why the name of the album is heaven on. This feeling of the song speaks of, is found in very many other again.
4. What (9/10)
I like it very much. Again (as in very many songs) I like the guitar incredibly well. This "bell-like" pick me up immediately. And Stefanie is noticeable in the years of routine, just here it is clear that she sings better lengths than before.
5. Yes (10/10)
Probably the most beautiful declaration of love for "The Best". If at concerts I think anyway to advance new anthem. the piano doing the song is very good. And not for nothing that recalls the song of Herbert Grönemeyer lyrics ...
And what stands out straight here: I think Stefanie every word she sings. And that makes the song so honest and brave and therefore is so touching as he did. I bet that is still ne single. and has potential to place. 1
6. Part of me (10/10)
Once again, I can only say: The Guitar! I am now in love with the guitar theme. The text also like here supergut me. It's so sad and beautiful at the same time, hold the memory of a loved one, do not forget it is very important here. and again so honest. So far, my favorite from the album.
7. Somewhere in the middle (9/10)
A song about friendship. About the fear that this someone is going the wrong way. "The truth lies somewhere in the middle" ... again I like it here, the guitar and the vocal performance.
8. My heart beats (7/10) for you
on the song I know somehow not know what to do with it. It's not as if he would not like, but somehow it falls but out of the album. The text is touching honest again and even the effects on the voice are apt, even though I actually just do not like that. Maybe I need to simply hear a few times.
9. White flags (10/10)
The first and only song ever (in general, not with this album), where I really cried the first time by listening. This incredible suffering of child soldiers is carefully and yet at the same time cruelly processed in the song.
I understand that this issue "had to get out", as Thomas has told in an interview.
10. Ans Sea (10/10)
The bosses homage "robot legs" is somehow cool. and has the piece also a little bit of Bosse and his music. I find very great. Especially lyrically.
11. It goes on (8/10)
Again a beautiful, melancholy song. Mir does man very sorry about it sings. But here again comes the by, what I like about Silver Moon: it's always kind of optimistic, no matter how bad the situation is. "It goes on".
12 weapons (9/10)
beautiful rock number, the old-school guitar solo is awesome !! Fits very well with the song and the message is unmistakable. "It does not show with weapons to other people". Will be great live.
13. I miss here (10/10)
Here the drums are somehow totally great. This ladies' room experiment is heard out properly, it resonates super and this rhythm takes a prisoner immediately. and the choirs are used beautifully. Here, too, I like this very adult text.
14 Good Wins (10/10)
"Do you think the good wins and that is a hero and carries us through the fire, and our enemies proposes to flight ..."
My favorite line from the song. Again, this almost depressing summary of what everything is going wrong in this world. and still shines again hope by that good could still gewinnnen times.
Here also Outtro is very nice.
In summary it can be said: (!) The band has evolved significantly, both lyrically and in particular recording technology. Stefanie's vocal performance is again significantly better than it was already happening at nothing compared to the previous albums.
And the greatest compliment to the guitar: what Thomas has since conjured for riffs and melodies out of the hat makes me just amazed.
The album has definitely nothing happens replaced my favorite album.
To live DVD: very nice, although I feel sorry for Stefanie end properly. Unfortunately you can hear clearly out how sick and cold on the day it was (was not so strong to live). Nevertheless, the humor comes across well and you feel two years previously displaced. Mirrors live concerts amends. I can anyway only recommend to listen to the live band. Again lengths better than on disk.
LiveCD: see the live DVD.
The Akkkordbuch is also very nice, nice to have the chords. The making of the album summarizes production together well and lets the fans know much about the origin. The guitar lesson is surprisingly funny, although I otherwise so not much can start - I'll play any guitar.
The piano notes are in my opinion also a nice addition, but kept relatively simple (often chords). But mostly fits the to each song (as in heaven). So you should have someone you accompanied this, otherwise it will be quite boring.
All in all, I can say that they have exceeded my expectations by far. I hear the album every day and look forward now even more on the upcoming tour.
