I wondered how the group after his previous album (Witchcult today, 2007) could continue to remaining heavy melodic. Won bet here is even more melodic, and at least as heavy. The riffs are really inspired, always heavy, the bass is obviously oily, creepy ... No surprise, but no disappointment either. It is familiar ground: that we love about this group, which will propose a hypnotic rock always based powerful rhythms, sick, elephantine, heady and torn by ramshackle solos where wah azimutée hand in all directions . The first 7 titles are impressive: no drop in quality throughout this record, no drop in intensity. It is very difficult to say if there is a better song than another as the 7 titles are sung high fly. The downside comes from the unnecessary and much too long final instrumental that does absolutely nothing (for my taste). Frankly, it's a detail ... The new album Dorset group is to side with the great records released in 2010: if you took a little weight to the songs to keep only the skeleton, I think he would remain hymns pop / rock pretty obvious, because the advantage of this disc is the melodic aspect, which floats happily in a slimy puddle that would engulf any song so well tucked. Having seen this band live 2 times recently, I can guarantee that each of the songs on this new record is cut for the stage, and in no way are spot amid the other classic of the group. The production is a little dry, as usual, but the music offered by these small Satanists junk lends itself fully to a gross salary.
