I have replaced this with a conventional bulb candle bulb. And although this requires only a fraction of the energy, it is much much brighter. However, the light is not really white, but has a slight green tint, I think. Thus, the light affects a little clinical than it already is. In retrospect, I would probably still prefer to take a warm white bulb. In addition, no protection against electric shock or similar present as bare contacts are accessible from outside. Therefore, one should definitely turn off the power when in / out screws, or very careful to touch only the housing.
